There is a big difference in average yearly rainfall (shown for four months) between Brisbane and Melbourne. Although only 42 average rainy days are shown for Brisbane this corresponds to the same months with 49 rainy days in Melbourne. Brisbane shows a total rainfall of 423mm during that period, whereas Melbourne shows 221mm of rainfall. When divided by the total number of rainy days for that rainfall it shows that Melbourne has 4.5mm per rainy day whereas Brisbane has 10.07mm per rainy day. This table shows that when it rains in Brisbane it has over two times more rain on the average rainy day!
